Sausage Supper Tickets and Pepperoni Shoes

Our school just finished our yearly fund raiser.  Nathanael and Noah both wanted to sell sausage supper tickets (I didn't), and both of them had a goal.  Noah wanted to sell enough to win Spurs Tickets, and Nathanael wanted to sell enough tickets to make it to the bowling party.

Both boys made the bowling party.  After that they started naming the top 3 sellers in each grade - and we were so surprised when Nathanael came in 3rd place for his grade!  Poor Noah's name wasn't called.  He just sat there, as they called name after name, blinking his eyes as fast has he could because he didn't want to cry in front of his friends.  What Noah didn't know is that the top 10 sellers school wide are not included in the grade placings.  They started naming the top 10 sellers school wide and.....

And Noah was #7!  Yay, Noah!  He proudly marched up and claimed his four Spurs Tickets.  Thank heavens no one had picked them yet!  Mission accomplished.  The total raised was $43,753.19

(FYI - the tallest red head in the middle and the little boy standing in front of Noah are both in the 4th grade and have been Nathanael's two best friends since 1st grade.)

Side story - every morning our family puts on the Armor of God.  This morning when Carl, Nathanael and Noah go to the 'shoes of the preparation of the gospel of peace' Noah said, "the shoes of pepperoni of the gospel.'  At that point no one could continue and just fell apart laughing!
